The restaurant next to the aquarium at Kushimoto Marine Park, with the Pacific outside the windows. I had the Setouchi lemon cake with ice cream and an iced coffee. Meals such as tuna, local fish set menus and Wakayama ramen are also served.

Setouchi lemon cake with a view of the sea

I took a break at the restaurant in the marine park. For a snack I chose the Setouchi lemon cake: moist lemon sponge under a white sugar glaze, served with ice cream and an iced coffee.

It was the word "Setouchi" that drew me, a place I had visited before. Beyond the palm trees outside the window lay the Pacific. So this sea, too, connects to that island of cats.
